Originally conceived in 2014 for a private architecture, construction and real estate firm in Caracas, Venezuela, Residencias Altos de Suritaima was created to promote an exclusive residential complex through a custom-built website showcasing apartment availability, architectural information and appointment requests for prospective buyers. Nearly a decade later, I revisited the entire project with a single objective: not simply to redesign it, but to completely restore and modernize it using today's frontend technologies, responsive architecture and user experience principles while preserving the original visual identity that defined the project.
The challenge suposed rather than starting from scratch, this redevelopment required preserving the essence of a legacy project while replacing virtually every technical component behind it. Navigation, layouts, media presentation, responsiveness, animations, galleries, interactive maps and backend functionality were all carefully reconstructed to deliver a significantly more refined and immersive browsing experience.
The new solution proposed that every section of the website was redesigned with a stronger focus on visual hierarchy, usability and responsive behaviour across smartphones, tablets and desktop devices.
Among the most significant improvements is the integration of a fully customized Google Maps 3D experience, replacing the former static map with an interactive cinematic presentation featuring animated routes and dynamic camera movements that guide visitors directly to the residential complex.
The apartment catalogue was also completely modernized through an extensively customized PhotoSwipe Lightbox gallery, allowing visitors to explore architectural plans and apartment layouts within a cleaner and more intuitive viewing experience.
Another major enhancement was the redevelopment of the appointment request system into a modern asynchronous application featuring advanced client-side and server-side validation, PHP processing, intelligent visual feedback, animated notifications and multiple security improvements to deliver a far more robust and professional user experience.

The Outcome is more than a simple redesign, Residencias Altos de Suritaima – 2025 Edition represents the complete restoration of one of my own legacy projects through the application of modern frontend engineering, responsive design and contemporary UX principles.
The result is a faster, cleaner and considerably more immersive web experience that preserves the architectural identity of the original project while embracing current web standards. Today, it stands as one of the most technically accomplished and personally rewarding projects within my portfolio.
